“Cellular Network Densification Increases Radio-Frequency Pollution”: True or False?

A very popular theory circulating among non-scientific communities claims that the massive deployment of Base Stations (BSs) over territory, a.k.a. cellular network densification, always triggers an uncontrolled and exponential increase human exposure to Radio Frequency "Pollution" (RFP). To face such concern in a way can be understood by layman, this work we develop simple model compute RFP, based on set worst-case conservative assumptions. We then provide closed-form expressions evaluate RFP variation pair candidate 5G deployments, subject different densification levels. Results, obtained wide representative scenarios, dispel myth: decrease (up three orders magnitude) when radiated power from BS is adjusted ensure minimum sensitivity at cell edge.
